RiceUp was launching a new product in the competitive Nutritional Protein Bars category on Amazon Germany in March 2025. Their primary goal was aggressive ranking—they needed to establish visibility and sales velocity quickly to compete with established players.
For a new product launch, high advertising costs are often expected. RiceUp set a realistic target of approximately 50% TACoS, understanding that the initial investment in advertising would be significant during the ranking phase. The challenge was to achieve strong ranking results while keeping costs from spiraling out of control.
We built a series of high-impact ranking campaigns specifically designed for aggressive product launches. The strategy prioritized visibility and sales velocity while our optimization system worked to maximize efficiency at every step.
March 2025
Launched the product with high-impact ranking campaigns designed for rapid visibility. Implemented aggressive bidding strategies on high-volume keywords to establish initial sales velocity and ranking momentum.
April 2025
Continued pushing ranking campaigns while monitoring performance metrics. The product began climbing category rankings as sales velocity increased. Optimized bids based on conversion data to improve efficiency.
May - June 2025
Product reached Top 20 in the Nutritional Protein Bars category. TACoS stabilized at 29.75%, significantly outperforming the 50% target. Campaign efficiency improved while maintaining strong sales momentum.
An 80% ACOS might look alarming, but for a product launch focused on ranking, it's part of the strategy. Here's why the 29.75% TACoS tells the real story:
“We targeted 50% TACoS for our launch but achieved under 30%. The ranking campaigns exceeded all our expectations—Top 20 in just two months.”
